On 6th February this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth. At St George’s Cathedral, we celebrated this milestone at a special Evensong service, on Sunday 6 February. You can read the address made by The Honourable Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia, and hear the sermon given by The Very Reverend Doctor John Shepherd AM Dean Emeritus, at this service here.

From June 2nd -5th, residents of the UK have a four-day holiday weekend, celebrating this Jubilee. We will acknowledge the years of service of Her Majesty The Queen at each of the services on Sunday 5th June, in the prayers, and singing the Royal Anthem (God Save the Queen).
