JS Bach is one of the greatest composers of sacred music and in the hands of Joseph Nolan and a stellar cast with WASO, his magnificent Easter Oratorio will take you on an unforgettable divine journey, from a tomb of dark grief to the blazing light of joy.

But before we rejoice in the miracle of Easter, we set the scene with Duruflé’s exquisite Requiem for organ and chorus.

Composed just after World War II, it is a moving work of timeless beauty – intimate, tranquil and profound.

Handel’s Samson @ Perth Concert Hall
Dec 6 @ 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

St George’s Concert Series brings Handel’s Samson to Perth for the first time!

Those who enjoyed Handel’s Solomon at Perth Concert Hall in 2018 will not want to miss another of the composer’s great, dramatic oratorios, telling the legendary story of Samson and Delilah.

Samson requires a large and rich Baroque orchestra, and features the famous ‘Let the Bright Seraphim’. This magical aria, sung by Kiri te Kanawa at the wedding of Charles and Diana, will belong to the wonderful Sara Macliver.

In WA’s first chance to witness a professional performance of Samson, WA’s leading instrumentalists, soloists and choral ensemble will be directed by Dr Joseph Nolan, known for his meticulous and passionate approach, all of which makes this unique production unmissable.
