St George’s Cathedral is proud to be the spiritual home of St George’s Anglican Grammar School.
St George's Anglican Grammar School is based in the Perth CBD, at 50 William Street. Catering for students in Years 7-12, the School delivers an authentic, future focused educational experience.
The central location enables the School to make full use of the cultural, sporting and business opportunities on offer in their progressive, modern city environment. The School enrols both local and international students, providing an ideal environment for students to develop the skills and cross-cultural understandings which form the basis of a global perspective.
The School is committed to ensuring that students and staff interact in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust; one that is enjoyable, challenging and stimulating, where students accept personal responsibility for their learning and behaviour. They aim to create an environment in which each student can reach their potential, both academically and personally.
The School is a proud member of the Anglican Schools Commission (ASC) system of schooling in Western Australia. Founded in 1985, the Core Purpose of the ASC is to establish and support low fee Anglican systemic schools which provide a high quality, inclusive, caring Christian education.
ASC schools are distinctly Christian communities that demonstrate care for each other and treat all people with dignity and respect. They deliver excellence in education, stressing high achievement in traditional academic subjects, balanced by comprehensive co-curricular and vocational programs. These are underpinned by core Christian values and teaching in the time-honoured Anglican tradition.
The Anglican Schools Commission has six principal values, which the St George’s Anglican Grammar School aims to instil in their students, staff and wider School community.
• Faith: Living by Gospel values
• Excellence: Pursuing high standards in all things
• Justice: Demonstrating fairness, compassion and conviction
• Respect: Respecting self, others and our planet
• Integrity: Acting with honesty and openness
• Diversity: Promoting social inclusion and celebrating difference
At St George’s Anglican Grammar School, Religious Studies promotes spiritual and personal growth through an understanding of ethics and a knowledge of other faiths.
Chapel services enable students, staff and families to gather as a community to celebrate life and worship together.
