Art Awards and Exhibition 2008 Viva! (Art Awards and Exhibition 2005) Details and Requirements Theme: “VIVA!”
This theme, as the name suggests, invites students to look for the joy and positive aspects of the world we share with all living creatures and to give expression to this through any medium of visual art. Students may choose to look to lives past and present, environments that enrich our lives, experiences that give meaning and joy to our living as individuals, as family members, in community and as citizens of the world. Works could include
- Landscapes
- Individuals and groups
- New life, birth, germination, growth, lives well lived, triumphs over adversity, in competitive situations
- Family life
- Spiritual experience
- Celebrations of every kind, concerts, parades, worship
- Shapes, textures, objects, mediums, sensory things
