As a department of the St George’s Cathedral  Education Centre and in cooperation with The Institute of Anglican Studies, The Centre for Christian Spirituality offers expressions of Christian spirituality including the unfolding of the rich and historical development of Anglican spirituality, in the following ways:

• Lectures, talks, small group interaction
• Informal reflection and meditatio.
• The spirituality of the Judaeo-Christian scriptures.
• Art, literature, poetry, science, education, human movement, music and social life;
  
• Appreciation of the prayer book and the seasonal rhythm of Liturgy;
• The influences of holy people including St Anselm, Mother Julian of Norwich, St Benedict of Nursia, St Francis of Assissi, Brother Roger of Taize and Chiara Lubich of the Focolare;
• Christian mysticism and asceticism and the Religious Life;
• Prayer as primary speech;
• Celtic spirituality;
• Australian spirituality,
• Masculine and feminine spirituality
• The spiritualities of  world religions. 

All this takes place within the context of a daily cathedral ministry of Presence and listening, the Holy Eucharist, contemporary rhythmic offices, spiritual counsel, centering prayer,  contemplation, meditation, prayer of the heart, Cathedral pilgrimages  - with take-away resources for personal use.
