Festival of Lessons and Carols to be broadcast to the Nation

On Thursday 22 December, the first of our three Carol Services will be recorded by the ABC, and broadcast nationally on ABC Classic FM Radio at 8.00pm on Christmas Eve.

Please join us for this atmospheric service, in which the Christmas story is told in nine readings, with anthems sung by the Cathedral Choir, and carols for both congregation and choir.

This year the Choir, conducted by Joseph Nolan and accompanied by Stewart Smith, will be singing works by Handel, Sweelinck, Rutter, Lauridsen, Mathias, and Rütti.

Lessons will be read by significant figures in the life of the Cathedral and the City of Perth, including Premier Colin Barnett, and Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi.

Time: 7.30pm.

Venue: The Cathedral.  To find us, please click here.
