Consort to sing in Perth Arts Festival

St George's Cathedral Consort are to perform with the Hilliard Ensemble at the 2010 Perth International Arts Festival, conducted by Joseph Nolan.

The Consort will join a performance of Arvo Pärt's Passio, or St John Passion, described in the Festival's literature as a piece that "melds religious narrative with the deep spiritual impulses of vocal music, each note ringing in purity, creating the uplifting sensation of being in a resonant cathedral".

To be invited to sing with one of the greatest ensembles of all time in its first concert outside the Cathedral is a major achievement for the Consort.

The concert is at 7.30pm on Thursday 25 February at Perth Concert Hall. Further details and booking link appear here: Arvo Pärt - Passio.
