Chance to win Messiah tickets

The Senior newspaper is offering the chance to win two tickets to Handel's Messiah at St George's Cathedral.

Messiah will be performed at 7.30pm on Wedesday 24 March, with celebrated soprano Sara Macliver and a gathering of some of the finest singers and instrumentalists in Western Australia.

Performances of this famous oratorio took place in Lent and around Easter during Handel's time, normally with a small choir of 20-40 singers. The Cathedral will honour these origins, with an invigorating freshness added by the innovative direction of Joseph Nolan.

The ticket giveaway, run in conjunction with the Cathedral, appears on page 16 of the February edition of The Senior, and offers the chance to win two tickets valued at $45 each ($38 concession).

To enter, pick up a copy of this free paper or go to the digital version at the following link: The Senior WA February 2010

For more information on the concert, go to our Events section: Handel's Messiah.
