The Sunday Times' online newspaper, Perth Now, were first off the mark with Perth Choir Boy to Ring in Christmas Across the Nation, followed the next day with a feature in the West Australian newspaper and online, Christmas Chorister William Hits High Note.

Today, the Post has devoted a page of its Christmas section to the story, Will Sings Solo for TV Special.

The whole Cathedral Choir are to be congratulated on a magnificent performance in this significant outreach to the nation.

"I am delighted with the wide coverage in the press of this landmark event in the life of the Cathedral and Western Australia as a whole," said Joseph Nolan.

"The Cathedral Choir deserves every ounce of media attention, and I hope that following the nationwide broadcasts on Christmas Eve, the people of Perth will fully realise what a jewel they have right in their midst."

A Festival of Lessons and Carols from St George's Cathedral will be aired on ABC television at 7.30pm on Christmas Eve, and on Classic FM Radio at 8.00pm.
