Your Wedding at St George's Cathedral

There are many reasons for choosing to marry at St George’s, and we are delighted that you are considering the Cathedral for your wedding.
St George’s Cathedral is a sacred and historic place for West Australians. Established in 1888, the beautiful Gothic Revival building, with its magnificent pipe organs and traditional peal of bells, provides a stunning setting.
We offer a Christian ceremony in which the couple, with their friends and family, ask for God’s blessing on their married life together. Our clergy also offer marriage preparation at the Cathedral and through referral to other providers.
Weddings for 50-500 guests can be comfortably accommodated in the main space of the Cathedral, and smaller weddings may also be held at the high altar or in one of the side chapels.
Please note: Stage Two of the restoration of the Cathedral Precinct has commenced with works to the exterior of the Burt Memorial Hall, the Old Deanery and the southern forecourt of the Cathedral.
Work is expected to continue until the New Year and when completed, will not only provide enhanced physical access to the Cathedral, will also provide superb photo opportunities with Ascalon.
