Experience a living tradition

FIAS_bellringing_webThe Cathedral Education Centre offers opportunities for students to discover and experience the sacred space and unique heritage of St George's Cathedral.

A visit to the Cathedral is rich with possibility:

Discover meaning and purpose - why a Cathedral?

Explore the building - its architecture, including the bell tower and crypt, and artifacts, including rich robes, tapestries and treasures

Hear the stories - the people who lived and breathed the Cathedral’s history

Engage your senses - music, textures, colours, light, artworks, incense

Enter into mystery - symbolism and rituals of the Cathedral

Experience sanctuary - a space for stillness, silence, prayer and meditation

Let us come to you

A warm welcome awaits staff and students who visit Perth Cathedral.  Students are encouraged to explore, question and enjoy their time with us.

Sessions are interactive, informal and student-centred. Our Education Officer will work with you to create a full or half-day programme to meet the specific interests of your group.
