About St George's Art

St George's Art (formerly the St George's Cathedral Art Awards and Exhibition) has become a premier annual event in art education in Western Australia, attracting schools from all sectors.

ArtPoster_resizedParticipation in this exhibition provides an outstanding opportunity for schools to present work by students in Years 10, 11 and 12, in the unique setting of Perth Cathedral.

Each year, visitors flock to view the exhibition as the standard of art on display continues to reach new heights.

Many of the younger students go on to exhibit their work in the Year 12 Perspectives Exhibition at the Art Gallery of WA.

The work shown in our poster (right) is by Audrey Pieterse of Kingsway Christian College, and came equal third in 2009.

There is no charge to exhibitors, ensuring all young artists are able to participate, and prizes are offered as a worthwhile incentive. The event is supported by Arts Foundation donations and corporate sponsorship.

A total of 38 schools are participating in St George's Art 2010. Scroll down for a list of schools, and read more about this year's event here: Art show raises the bar.

The exhibition is open from 28 July to 5 August, 10.00am - 4.00pm daily (from 12.00 noon on Sunday 1 August).
